This Oregon Sunstone has a beautiful natural chatoyance (glittery effect) that is impossible to capture in a photo. It is so stunning! --Please see the video-- I've set this gem in sterling and fine silver, as a sunburst, with a moon and stars. The moon was hand formed by myself, of fine silver metal clay, then fired in my kiln. I then solder it in place and added all the little hand fabricated details and dangling stars. I then pre-polish the piece, and add an oxidized patina before polishing it to a mirror finish.
Suspends from an 18 inch box chain, with a lobster clasp.
The pendant drops approximately 2.5 inches, including star dangles.
This piece took many hours to complete, and is truly a one of a kind heirloom quality neck piece.
