A rhodochrosite bead which I've secured in place by a jewelers technique called pinning. I hand forge sterling silver into a horseshoe shape and drill little holes for the tiny rod to pass through. Using a torch, I then carefully ball each end to pin the component into place without heating the stone. It's a meticulous and tricky procedure, but the end result is quite charming.
Necklace is suspended from a 14 inch chain which has a series of little star bursts along it's length. This minimalist design will be perfect for a smaller framed woman or a young girl. Can be worn as a choker for an average person, but I recommend measuring the neck before purchasing.
